The world can wait - sauna with Trumer Holz
You come home after a long day, what could be nicer than starting the evening relaxed and comfortable?
It's no longer a secret that more and more people are buying their own sauna in order to be able to enjoy the wellness experience in their own four walls and to recharge their inner batteries at any time.
In your own sauna you can switch off, relax and unwind. You can also treat your body to relaxation, recovery and regeneration. Saunas have many positive properties for the body and mind and are becoming increasingly trendy.
Whether you're a professional or a beginner, if you've ever been in a sauna, you probably know that wood is an essential part of building a sauna, as the raw material ensures a pleasant and gentle indoor climate.
But which wood can you use?
We have summarized it for you so that you can set up your sauna individually and uniquely.
The queen of the Alps - the pine
Our pine, whether chopped or smooth, is particularly suitable for expanding your sauna. It is not called the Queen of the Alps for nothing, because it is one of the noblest and most valuable woods the Alpine region has to offer. Its pleasant and aromatic smell is another plus point why it is often used in the sauna.

Come to the dark side - the thermo spruce
Due to its treatment, thermal spruce is one of the darker woods and therefore appears particularly elegant. Due to the heat treatment, the thermal spruce reacts very calmly to the moisture in the sauna and is therefore particularly durable.

Nature as far as the eye can see - the spruce
The chopped spruce brings nature into your sauna and spreads a particularly pleasant and natural smell. A light, beautiful wood that darkens slightly over time and gives your sauna a particularly elegant touch.

Balm for the soul - the larch
Larch wood is considered particularly robust and is one of the hardest types of wood. When it comes to durability, it is also far superior to its colleagues. In combination with heat, the larch can produce increased resin, but this is not a disadvantage because the larch resin creates a particularly fruity and pleasant smell and is simply good for the soul.

For that special flair - the oak
Away from the mainstream, the oak creates a unique ambience in the sauna. A darker, characterful wood as an eye-catcher for your wellness area. The oak wood absorbs heat particularly well and becomes very warm, which is why we love the oak in the sauna, especially in winter, when it is really cold outside.
Are there any types of wood that are not suitable for a sauna?
Yes, there are! They look pretty great as a wall unit or ceiling panel, but we can't recommend them for building a sauna. These include the steamed spruce, as well as the matching squared timber, the reclaimed wood and the carbon pine. They are then used in another project.
And for sitting?
To ensure that you are comfortable, you also need the right wood for your seating and lying areas. Our Abachi wood, the thermal spruce, the thermal ash or the stone pine are particularly suitable for this (but please don't chop the ones that sting!).
And if things have to happen quickly?
We know that success loves speed, which is why we also have our sauna barrel kit for everyone who is in a hurry. If you can no longer wait to turn your home into a true wellness oasis.
