Adhesive for parquet floors (for approx. 12 m²)


Bona R848 is a very low-emission, elastic, 1-component, silane-modified adhesive for parquet up to a cover Width of 200mm.

 

The adhesive hardens into a soft, elastic film, which means that stresses are only passed on to the subfloor to a lesser extent.

The adhesive sets through a chemical reaction with the ambient moisture. The open time is approx. 30 minutes.

Quantity: 15 kg = 1 bucket (container)

Consumption: approx. 1250g/m² for 3-layer finished parquet (approx. 12m²/container)

Underfloor heating: approved by the manufacturer for bonding to underfloor heating (see installation recommendation)

Note: Installation recommendation and further information

Suitable substrates:

  • Cement screeds (CT) in accordance with EN 13813
  • Calcium sulphate (flow) screeds (CA) in accordance with EN 13813.
  • with suitable cementitious filler or floors filled with Bona H670 (Bona Gypsum) (min. 2mm thick, filler must be plasticizer-resistant!)
  • Chipboard V100
  • other dry and solid substrates (e.g. dry screeds)
  • Mastic asphalt screeds (AS) acc. EN 13813 (sufficiently sanded) and other plasticizer-sensitive substrates require a protective primer with Bona R410 or Bona R540
  • A primer is generally not required.*

* If a problematic substrate does need to be primed, use Bona R410, Bona R540 or alternatively Bona R580. Sanding of Bona R410 is not necessary if the surface of the primer remains clean and the parquet is glued down with Bona R850 within 24 hours. Unevenness, depressions, holes etc. must be filled with Bona H600, H610 or H650.
