The little Trumer wood 1x1
Q: What does rough-sawn, brushed, oiled, or chopped mean in relation to wood?
There are various types of surface treatment, each with its own unique character:
- Rough-sawn: rustic, original, slightly roughened – as if fresh from the sawmill.
- Brushed: lively and textured – the grain is emphasized and noticeably highlighted.
- Oiled: protects the wood and refines it in a special way. Depending on the oil used, a unique look is created – from natural to white to striking black. The surface remains breathable, appears warm, high-quality, and stylish.
- Chopped: as in traditional woodworking – a rustic surface with character and visible texture.
This allows you to achieve exactly the look that suits your style – natural, authentic, and full of character.
Q: Does the color stay on the wood? Does it darken over time?
Wood is a living material – and that is precisely what gives it its charm.
Depending on the type of wood, lighting conditions, and environment, the color changes slightly over time. Some woods darken, others turn gray - especially outdoors.
Indoors, sunlight often creates a warm, slightly darker tone.
Outdoors, untreated wood changes due to wind and weather - the result is a natural patina that many find really beautiful.
In short: wood never stays the same—and that's what makes it so special. 🌞🌲
Q: Which wood is suitable for outdoor use?
Not all wood can withstand wind and weather - but don't worry: in our range, you will find woods that are suitable for outdoor use.
Whether for facades, terraces, or garden projects, we have put together a carefully selected range of robust, durable woods that not only withstand outdoor conditions but also become more beautiful over time.
If you are unsure, we will be happy to help you choose! 🌿
Q: What is the difference between deck dimension and tongue dimension?
Imagine a tongue-and-groove wooden board:
The tongue dimension is the full width of the board, including the parts that will not be visible later.
The cover dimension is what remains visible after installation—in other words, what you actually see in the end.
➡️ Important for planning: The package calculator calculates differently depending on the product!
- For wall cladding and facades, the calculation is based on the tongue dimension.
- For floors, it is based on the deck dimension.
If you are unsure, simply write to us – we will be happy to help you with the calculation! 😊

Please note: Unfortunately, tracking information is not available for all shipping deliveries.
Q: What is a special size freight delivery?
Some products - e.g., decking or facade boards longer than 2.41 m, pre-assembled privacy screens, or large pieces of furniture - are considered bulky goods.
These items are delivered by direct shipping. This means:
- The shipping company will coordinate the delivery date with you by phone.
- Delivery is free truck (unloaded) – as no lifting platform is available.
- You will need at least two helpers on site to unload the goods yourself.
- Again, express delivery is not possible – if you are pressed for time, simply contact us:
Q: Is it possible to pick up the ordered products myself?
Of course! Many of our customers pick up their orders directly from us—this saves on transport costs and is often faster. For larger quantities, we ask you to organize a suitable means of transport - then everything will run smoothly.
We are happy to help you with loading!
Q: Why are shipping costs higher for special sizes?
Bulky products require special handling during packaging, loading, and transport. This involves more effort, but it also ensures that your order arrives undamaged.
Q: How will I know when my delivery will arrive?
The shipping company will contact you directly to arrange delivery. You will be notified in advance by phone, email, or text message.
Q: What do I need to bear in mind when unloading?
Technical unloading is not possible for special sizes. This means that you will need at least two helpers on site to unload the goods at the agreed time. Please plan ahead to ensure that everything runs smoothly!

Wall & Ceiling
Q: How do I install wood wall and ceiling paneling?
Most of our elements are equipped with tongue and groove joints and are very easy to assemble yourself. With the right accessories and a little manual skill, you can do it in no time at all. CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS
Q: How much waste should I factor in?
That depends on the product and your project.
As a rough rule of thumb, we recommend allowing for 10–15% waste, depending on the laying pattern, cutting, and room shape.
If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you with an accurate estimate!
Q: Which panels are suitable for saunas?
The following are best suited for use in saunas:
- Thermally modified spruce
- chopped or smooth Swiss stone pine
- chopped natural spruce.
These woods tolerate heat and moisture particularly well - and create the right sauna feeling.
Q: Can I also install your wall panels in the bathroom?
Of course! Wood in the bathroom creates warmth and a really pleasant atmosphere.
It is important to have good ventilation through the appropriate substructure so that moisture does not accumulate.
⚠️ Please note: Not all types of wood are equally suitable. We do not recommend using steamed spruce in the bathroom.
If you are unsure, just ask us - we will be happy to help.
Q: Can wall paneling also be glued?
We generally recommend using a substructure and screws - this is the most durable and secure solution.
If there is no other option, you can also glue the panels in place using a high-quality mounting adhesive.
It is important to note that the surface must be level, solid, and stable - otherwise, the whole thing will not hold securely. If you are unsure, we will be happy to help you assess the situation!
Q: How do I finish off wall paneling?
It's simple: ➡️ with our finishing strips!
They ensure a clean, attractive transition - and are super easy and quick to install.
They match the rest of your paneling perfectly and add a stylish finishing touch to your project.
floors
Q: How do I properly care for oiled wood floors?
It's not rocket science – but a little love goes a long way. For regular cleaning, vacuuming and wiping with a damp cloth is sufficient. Please don't use too much water – wood prefers to be cleaned gently and dry.
We recommend a special wood soap such as our cleaning soap – it cleans gently and nourishes at the same time. Depending on use, you should re-oil the floor every few years to protect it and preserve its natural beauty.
Q: Are wooden floors delicate - even with children or pets?
Absolutely not – our solid wood floors are true everyday heroes. They are robust, durable, and can withstand a lot. Whether it's romping children, paw prints, or just everyday life – with the right care, your wood floor will not only remain beautiful, but will even gain character over time.
In short: wood is perfect for families, dogs, cats, and more. Or as we say: Hoiz is s'beste!
Q: What is the difference between solid wood and parquet flooring?
Solid wood floorboards are made entirely from a single piece of wood – they are particularly durable, stable, and can be sanded down multiple times.
Parquet, on the other hand, usually has a multi-layer structure: a high-quality wear layer made of real wood on top, with supporting layers underneath. It is often slightly cheaper and can be laid more quickly.
Both look beautiful – you decide which is better suited to your project (and budget). And we're happy to help you with that! 😊
Q: Is wood barefoot-friendly?
Absolutely!
Wood feels pleasantly warm, looks natural, and has a slight spring to it—perfect for walking barefoot, sitting on the floor, or playing.
Once you've walked barefoot on wood, you'll never want to do anything else. 😊
terraces
Q: What material do I need for my patio?
It's simple: our patio configurator helps you step by step.
You enter your measurements, choose the right wood, and answer a few questions about your circumstances - and we'll put together everything you need.
Wood, substructure, screws - your outdoor living room is ready! 💪🌞
And if you get stuck somewhere, we'll be happy to help you.
Q: Can I build my own patio?
Yes! Our decking boards and accessory kits, such as our privacy screens, are perfect for DIY projects. With a little preparation and the right substructure, installation is easy.
Q: How do I clean my patio after winter?
Simply with water, a brush, and our patio cleaner.
If necessary, you can re-oil the wood - but you don't have to.
Q: Will the terrace turn gray?
Yes - and that's completely normal. Wood changes color when exposed to sun and weather. If you want to preserve the color for longer, you can oil your deck regularly.
facades
Q: How long does a wooden facade last?
With the right design, a wooden facade can last 50–80 years or more. And it only gets more beautiful with time. Today's facade is tomorrow's reclaimed wood. 😉
Q: Do I need to paint a wooden facade?
No, please don't!
Our chopped facade wood in particular is designed to gray naturally.
Sun, rain, and time give the wood a beautiful patina - without any chemical treatment.
Not only is it easy to maintain, it also looks really beautiful.
Q: How much maintenance does a wooden facade require?
Not much at all. If you allow your hair to gray naturally, you practically don't have to do anything.
garden
Q: What counts as wooden garden furniture?
We offer raised beds, pergolas, garden furniture, and privacy screens - all made from sturdy, natural wood. For truly relaxing outdoor spaces.
Q: Why choose a raised bed made of wood?
Plastic in the garden? Seriously?
Wood is simply more beautiful - natural, durable, and sustainable.
A wooden raised bed not only looks good, it also has many advantages:
it's easy on the back, warms up faster, and protects your vegetables better from snails.
And best of all, it just feels right.
Q: How is a pergola attached?
That depends on the location:
for solid ground, use ➡️ post anchors to set in concrete; for softer ground, ➡️ drive-in sleeves are suitable.
We will of course provide you with all the information and appropriate materials you need to ensure that your pergola is secure - and will give you many years of enjoyment.
Q: Is the garden furniture weatherproof?
Yes – absolutely!
Our outdoor furniture is made from solid larch: robust, weather-resistant, and designed to last for many summers in the garden.
Whether it's sunny or rainy, with a little care, the wood will remain beautiful for a long time and develop a charming patina over time.
